Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this deterrent spike mat safe for cats and other pets?
A: Yes. The plastic spikes are designed to be firm enough to deter animals from crossing or landing but are not sharp enough to cause injury. They discourage access without harming cats, birds, or squirrels — making this a humane animal deterrent solution.
Q: Can I cut the mat to fit my fence or ledge?
A: The PET plastic mat can generally be trimmed with household scissors or a utility knife to fit irregular shapes, fence segments, or narrow ledges. Always take care when cutting plastic and measure your surface beforehand.
Q: How many mats do I need for my garden fence?
A: Each mat covers approximately 34 × 43 cm (about 13.4" × 16.9"). For a standard garden fence or wall, you may need multiple mats placed end-to-end. We recommend measuring your coverage area before ordering to determine the right quantity.
Q: Can this mat be used indoors on furniture?
A: Absolutely. The transparent design makes it suitable for use on sofas, countertops, shelves, or any indoor surface where you'd like to discourage cats or other pets from jumping or resting. Its clear color ensures it stays virtually invisible on most surfaces.
